TomTom has launched their latest PND (ie, GPS satnav) units that have a 5″ widescreen display as well as upgraded routing technology. The new routing technology is based around IQ Routes that calculates the quickest journey time based on historical data.

The Palm Pre is set to go on sale in the UK in October, on mobile phone network O2, which currently have the contract for the Apple iPhone, the good news is that it will also be available in the UK Sim free for £449 about about $747.

Nokia has a new mobile phone planed to replace its expensive 8800 range, the Nokia Erdos. The Nokia Erdos is carved from a single piece of steel, and will come with a 2.4 inch OLED display, with a resolution of 320 x 240, the display stays invisible under the mirrored glass until you turn it on.

Microsoft tonight provided full details for its Zune update with the launch of the Zune HD, including features both on the device and the PC side. Both the player and the new 4.0 software now support renting movies in 720p and in standard definition from the Zune Marketplace.

Chitika, an online advertising network, has released a study indicating that iPhone users are least likely of all mobile users to click through mobile adds. The study of mobile Internet usage vs. non-mobile usage covered 92 million samples, with roughly 1.3 million click-throughs from mobile users.
