I have a love hate relationship with my iPhone. I love the device and its feature set for the most part, but I hate the AT&T network and all the issues with dropped calls. I also at times really hate the onscreen keyboard.

Apparently Comcast is in dire financial straights. If America’s largest cable provider doesn’t raise the cable modem rental fee to $5 from $3, it will not be able to roll out the faster Internet service, DOCSIS 3.0, and the executives won’t be able to get new trousers.

We saw the MiNEW A10 nettop back in May when it was clad in black and looking more manly than the new version that tipped up today. The version that we came across today is straight out of Hello Kitty hell with white, pink, and red gone awry.

If you want to see some really expensive audio gear, all you need to do is peruse the Bowers & Wilkins website to run across gear costing more than some people pay for a car. The company also makes a line of much more reasonably priced iPod speakers including the Zeppelin dock.

I am all for convergence, give me one device to take the place of several and I am a happy camper. I converged my printer and scanner years ago and more recently, most of us have converged our mobile phones, PMPs, and GPS devices into one smartphone.

The first time I heard about the PSP Go, I wondered if most of us were ready for a dedicated game system that lacks a physical software format. Sure, that is basically what the iPhone and iPod touch are, but I don’t really think of those devices and the PSP Go as being in the same category.

Dell’s selling the Flip Mino-esque Creative Vado for just $40, down from $85. It’s got 2GB of storage, YouTube uploading, 640×480 resolution, and built-in USB connection. The Vado’s about a half-inch thick and weighs just three ounces. Video is captured as AVI clips using the MPEG-4 codec.
