For many of us the strength of our cellular signals is not that great. If you live in an area with lots of hills, trees, or an area that is mostly rural your signal is probably even worse. The zBoost YX230 signal booster has been available for a while now and promises to improve cellular reception.

Geeks really like to make their own electronic devices, we also tend to build our own computers and we tweak our mobile phones. Those of us in the U.S. have been able to get the BUGbase for a while now, even though it lacked WiFi. However, fans in Europe could not get the BUGbase, until now.

When I saw the Vue Personal Video Network a few months ago, I was impressed. The system is dead simple to install. You plug in a base station, sync two little wireless cameras that run on tiny batteries, and watch the video on any web browser, anywhere.

Intel is showing off a notebook concept under the code name Tangent Bay at IDF that is very cool. The machine has three OLED screens right above the keyboard that are all touch sensitive. The screens can be used to organize information and presumably launch apps.

As part of its Developer Forum keynote, Intel today showed the first working example of chips built on a 22 nanometer (nm) process. The process is even smaller than the 32nm technology just entering production and should run even more efficiently while fitting more into a given space.
