Dell Studio XPS now with Intel Core i7 Processors

Dell are now starting to include the Intel Core i7 8200M 1.73GHz processor in their Dell Studio XPS 16 range of notebooks. The Intel Core i7 is touted to be the fastest mobile processor available. The top end processor gives up to 137% more performance than the Core 2 Duo processors.

TomTom iPhone Kit now in the UK

The TomTom car kit for the iPhone 3G S is now available to pre-order from the Apple Store in the UK. It costs £100 but that does include a copy of TomTom navigator for the iPhone which isn’t bad. Shipping will start in 2 or 3 weeks.

Archos have confirmed that their Archos 9 Internet Tablet will go on sale come October 22nd, with pricing starting from $499.  Speaking at the IDF 2009 conference this week, the company surprised many who had expected the 9-inch touchscreen slate to retail for several hundred dollars more than that.

We hear today that the HTC HD2 is launching on October 12th. The HD2 was previously known as the HTC Leo and is a smartphone running the Windows Phone operating system (Windows Mobile 6.5). The HTC HD2 has a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen that runs at a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

O2 has confirmed the UK launch date of the Palm Pre, from October the 16th 2009, O2 will be selling the Palm Pre in the UK. The Palm Pre will be free to O2 customers who take out a 24 month contract, and to customers who take an 18 month contract on the £44.05 and above tariffs.
