Kids, do you remember those big, clunky things in the living room we older people called tube TVs? They are dying off. One of the world’s biggest TV manufacturers, Panasonic, announced yesterday [JP] it will stop producing those TVs after 55 years.

I love wireless technology and will write-off a lot of its downfalls for the advantages. For instance, it doesn’t bother me that the audio quality of the Jabra Halo is sub-par, because they are wireless and very comfortable.

I have a love-hate relationship with fall. I love that it’s a bit cooler so I can start wearing sweaters and coats again, mostly because then I have pockets and can put away the purse I hate carrying. I hate that it’s cooler because I would far rather be hot than cold.

Google, from the outside, is a strange and magical place. First off, their effectiveness: they didn't exactly invent the internet, but it'd be hard to find a part of the internet's modern form that hasn't in some way been shaped by their efforts. That's unique, and phenomenal.

I don’t use my garage very often, but I am a pretty forgetful person. So it’s not uncommon for me to leave my garage door open all night, revealing its precious contents to passers-by. Thankfully I haven’t been burgled yet.

Dell this morning added a new mid-range tower to its home and small business line. The Vostro 430 is Dell's first system in the range to use Intel's Core i5 and, even in the base model, starts off as a quad-core desktop.

Verizon this morning topped off its device launches with its second netbook to have built-in 3G. A special version of the Gateway LT2016u will support Verizon's EVDO network out of the box and will be subsidized to a lower $150 price in return for a two-year data plan and a $100 rebate.

Yesterday we reported that the HTC HD2 (formerly known as the HTC Leo) is to ship from O2 thanks to a photo captured of an O2 magazine which gives a page overview of the phone. We now hear from another source that T-Mobile will also be selling the HTC HD2 when it launches.

A few years back I bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D80. I remember thinking that the thing had tons of resolution with its 10MP sensor. Today that much resolution is nothing to write home about and is lower than many cameras offer.
