Thanko has started to sell their brand new Portable Media Player in the Japanese market. Known as the Thanko DTLMP45AV, the gadget features a 4.3-inch LCD display with a 480 x 272 resolution and a 8GB of internal memory, which is upgradable via a microSDHC card slot (up to 8GB).

Taiwanese PC maker MSI has recently announced a new addition to its G Series of gaming notebooks with the 15.4-inch GT640. It ships with Intel's mobile quad-core Core i7 processor, though which models aren't known.

Motorola's Sholes has received a new name, and details of when it should be unveiled, through a new slip of information. Unnamed contacts for BGR have claimed it will simply be called the Droid when it ships and that it should be unveiled for Verizon in two weeks.

Well well, looks like HP finally revealthe specs of its dv8 laptop. Confirming that HP dv8 packs a 1.6GHz Core i7 processor, dv8 sport 4GB of RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GT230 to do the graphics things. There’s a LightScribe Blu-ray burner for its optical drive.

My lovely mother just got her first BlackBerry a few weeks ago and has since enjoyed texting me. I noticed something today. She always laughs out loud at the end of every text. So I asked her about it today. Apparently LOL means “Lots Of Love.” Yup, I have the cutest mom in history.

The Compact Disc was quite a revolution when it came out. With a sampling rate of 44.1 kHz and a 16 bit rate, CDs marked the shift to digital music. Unfortunately, it seems to have fallen from being the playback medium of choice.

Rumors were abound last night that T-Mobile would begin sending out the Android v1.6 update (known amongst the geekdom as "Donut") today, and sure enough: they've just confirmed it. The big changes here include a fix for a bug that would reset your phone after dialing 911 (Oops!)
