Qualcomm outs hybrid HSPA+/EVDO chipset

Qualcomm today updated its MDM family of cellular chipsets with some of the first anywhere to support dual, advanced 3G and 4G formats. The MSM7630 supports GSM, HSPA and HSPA+ standards but will also work on CDMA phone networks and support up to EVDO Revision B for 3G on those services.

Boxee Signs Deal with Device Manufacturer for ‘Boxee Box’

Online video platform Boxee has signed a deal with an unknown device manufacturer to produce a "Boxee box" that will stream the site's content. The company will show a mock-up of the box and reveal more details at its December 7 meet-up in Brooklyn, NY.

It seems like computer manufacturers are all catching on that we want style along with function.  Is that so hard to understand?  Dell Zino HD is a pretty neat little device that you would be proud to display – not like most giant pieces of ugly electronic furniture.

Jajaja! Major Nelson, of Xbox fame, sent his fellow Microsofties this big banner congratulating them on releasing Windows 7. One billion Achievement Points! I’ve had an Xbox 360 for three years now, and I only have around 5,000 such points. I guess I’m a failure.

Have you ever wondered what pictures look like from a camera that costs more than man cars? I have. I know there are a lot of professionals out there that view DSLRs like the Canon 5D and Nikon D700 as entry-level because they have flashes that cost more than those cameras.

AT&T demands Verizon pull 3G ads

AT&T late Wednesday amended its lawsuit against Verizon to demand its rival pull its ads. The new version of the complaint asks the Federal Court to block all Verizon ads attacking AT&T's 3G coverage and would silence much of Verizon's marketing campaign for the holidays.
