AT&T has fired back at Verizon's "there's a map for that" commercials by launching its own critical ad. The carrier hired film actor Luke Wilson, who guides viewers through a chart comparing several aspects of the 3G networks.

Asus is latest manufacturer to out a Windows Home Server. The TS Mini Server seems to pack the goods too with up to a 2TB capacity and a modest price. Too bad it doesn’t have easy-access hard drive trays for expandability. But I can’t hate on everything.

Microsoft on Wednesday released an early beta version of the upcoming Silverlight software. Version 4 adds a variety of new features including the ability to integrate HTML content within applications, while Google’s Chrome browser will also be supported.

Japan-based gadget maker Strapya is offering the so-called Music Card MP3 Player (the link leads to their English store), an MP3 player that houses a speaker and an earphone plug but is still just 5mm (0.20″) thin. Sized at 5.4×8.6cm, the player weighs 20g.
