One of my big pet peeves is when people wear Bluetooth headsets when they aren’t driving and can actually hold the handset up to their ear. A long time ago I could see the Bluetooth headset as a status symbol, but today everyone, including my Grandma, has one so we aren’t impressed.

It used to be when it came time to upgrade a supercomputer we were talking about adding more nodes, processors, and other hardware. At least in one of the supercomputers used by the DoD when it comes time to upgrade it means buying more Sony PS3 game consoles.

Amazon today claimed a "record" month of sales for the Kindle and has provided some details of its bestselling devices. Without giving numbers, the online retailer said the e-book reader had its "best sales month ever" even before Cyber Monday, the online follow-up to Black Friday.

You’re going to have to wait a bit longer to pick up the $260 Nook in some Barnes & Noble retail stores. The lot that was earmarked for the brick and mortar retail market has been redirected to fullfill Internet pre-orders. Those damn early adopters always get all the fun.

My daughter and I had a lot of fun on Lamu island, off the coast of Kenya, earlier this year. One of the items we came across was this coconut handbag. Some had designs, some were raw, all were incredibly cool. If I remember correctly, I bargained poorly and bought it for 150/= ($2).
