The Blump.it Firefox plug-in just hit the blogosphere today and I had to try it. So I loaded it up on the Viliv X70 with the hope that it will improve the functionality of the small-ish touchscreen and turn it into a certain tablet computer clone. In short, it does both very well.

So, big problem with flying in a helicopter: if you crash, you’re screwed. It’s not like a jet, where you can eject (for obvious reasons), and it’s not like helicopters are designed with a crumple zone.

Japanese camera maker Exemode has developed the SQ28m [JP, the site is currently down], a mini digital camera that’s quite nice design-wise. The device is sized at just 53×23×19mm, weighs21g, can be used with your key chain and is available in red or blue.

Graphics card maker NVIDIA has recently demonstrated a 3D movie using its 3D shutter glasses and an Acer G245 monitor that can be synchronized with them. While the name of the blockbuster cannot be revealed, the movie playback is said to be on par with other 3D movies shown by the company.

Notebook speakers are generally the definition of suck. They tend to be flat, lifeless, and just plan bad, but then portable speaker sets aren’t exactly portable. The USB-powered AQ Amigo seems to be a nice solution though.
