The weirdest Apple patents we see generally aren’t on their way to production, but rather represent research Apple has done and would like to keep. If they had something really cool on the way, I doubt we’d hear about it in a random patent like this first.

Electronista is at a RIM developer panel in San Francisco where it's outlining the case for developing for both for the BlackBerry and the BlackBerry PlayBook. We're expecting some extra insight into the platform and hopefully some extra hands-on time with the PlayBook.
