Palm have launched a new in-browser SDK called Ares pitch that allows you to create apps for the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi with out a lot of coding knowledge. The service uses drag and drop features where you can place buttons, boxes and other types of functions on to the screen.

Iraqi insurgents were able to tap into raw satellite feeds of live video shot by U.S. Predator drones using $26 Russian software. Drones are unmanned planes controlled from afar by U.S. military officials.

Introduced last June, Archos 9 tablet pc will be shipped starting this month. Arrive with a 9 inch 1024 x 600 resistive touchscreen display and 16 mm thick, Archos 9’s weight is only grams. Archos 9 runs on Windows 7 Starter OS and powered by a 1.1GHz Atom Z515 processor and 1GB of RAM.

Project Honeypot has announced that they’ve collected one billion spam messages since they started in 2004. They have a pretty remarkable rundown of the trends for spammers in the last couple of years, including a look at the volume of product spam (V1AGRA, etc) versus fraud spam (419, etc).

This might make a good last-minute stocking stuffer, although I’m not sure if it’ll get to you in time. It’s a little USB power plug with not one, but two (!!!) USB ports. Looks like a dynamite travel accessory. It’s got a five-volt output pushing 1000 milli-amps to each port.

Windows 7 Starter Edition wouldn’t be our first choice of OS for the Archos 9 PC Tablet – after all, it lacks the handwriting functionality you’ll find in other versions – but at least it recognizes the touchscreen.

Who owns the world's 78 million iPhone and iPod touches? The US, mostly, according to a recent breakdown by Google-owned mobile advertising company, AdMob. Roughly half of those units sold reside in the US. The UK is in a distant second with eight percent, followed by France, Canada, and Germany.

This flying object is built by an Australian company called Cyber Technology and is capable of vertical take off and landing. The Cyber Quad as it’s called has four ducted fans to provide lift to fly it around as an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.
