MSI today provided early details of its first Wind netbooks running on Intel’s Pine Trail platform. The U130 and U135 both update to the 1.66GHz Atom and should get about 15 percent more battery life than previous Winds. They also get a minor aesthetic boost with touches such as a new trackpad….

As mentioned in my previous post, I have visited Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC) in Bangkok, where I also met a lot of emerging designers who showed me some of their work. TCDC runs a support program for emerging Thai designers in order to promote Thai design and culture.

Korea's Cowon has introduced launched one of its portable HD media players, the V5 HD. The device sports a 4.8-inch touchscreen with an 800x480 resolution, but it can output 720p HD video thanks to its HDMI output.

An upgrade version of Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook was introduced. The new Mini 10 now on Intel Atom Pine Trail platform and packs Intel Atom N450 processor instead of Atom Z520 or Atom N270. Will be available start on January 5, 2010 for the US market, its global release date will be January 7.

Dell’s line of Mini 10 netbooks will be getting a few boosts here and there sometime next month. For starters, you’ll be able to get one outfitted with an Atom N450 CPU at 1.66GHz. The six-cell battery option will apparently provide up to 9.5 hours of battery life as well.

Ford today upgraded its Sync in-car system with its first ever Internet access. Just referred to as Sync Wi-Fi, the feature lets a car using an updated version of the entertainment system share a 3G connection with passengers over a Wi-Fi bridge.
