Lenovo finished its ThinkPad updates with four new systems that all use Intel’s new mobile Core i5 and the four-core i7. The W510 mobile workstation is the flagship and switches to a new 15.6-inch LED-lit screen that covers a 95 percent color gamut.

Samsung confirmed rumors Sunday night by launching the NX10. The camera is its first mirrorless pro body and, like Micro Four Thirds cameras, holds a DSLR-sized sensor (APS-C) and uses swappable lenses but doesn’t carry as much bulk.

Samsung just announced what amounts to their own micro four thirds DSLR with 3-inch AMOLED screen and DSLR-sized sensor. The camera should be available in the Spring but we’ll definitely see it at CES this week where all the hot gadgets will be hanging out.

Thanks to Sascha from I Build Rockets for sending in this tip. It’s a machine that does nothing other than keep a switch in the off position. Turn the switch on and a hand pops up immediately and turns it off. The circuit has no microcontroller, it is all analog.

A late rumor on Saturday suggests Google may have more than one unlocked version of the Nexus One. Although a T-Mobile version has already been confirmed, BGR says this new model would have 3G native to AT&T as well as Bell, Rogers and Telus in Canada.

User-invented product site, Quirky, has another new and useful product, the Beamer which is an iPhone case (skin) with a built-in light. Just press the button and voila, and there was the light. The bright LED is powered by the Beamer’s case battery and not by the iPhone’s battery.
