I've looked at Where To? in the past, and found it a well thought out way to find points of interest in your vicinity. Another plus is that it integrates with the Navigon and TomTom apps so you can send information for precise navigation. Now the app has added a new wrinkle, augmented reality.

Pat Arneson built this clever network monitor that uses a BlinkM, an Arduino, and a little python. I never appreciated my internet connection enough when I lived in the city. Now that I’m a country mouse I think it really IS a series of tubes. Reliable it’s not.

Toshiba has sold about half of what it expected to of its glasses-free 3D TVs in Japan, said Masaaki Osumi, the president of Toshibaís Visual Products Company. Only 500 of the 20-inch, $2,490 set were sold in the first month and even less of the less expensive 12-inch model.
