Just like clockwork more companies are announcing its plans for a 3D TV stations. ESPN’s plans were just announced and now we hear that Discovery, IMAX, and Sony have form a joint venture to develop a 3D station.

D-Link now has thingamajigs that will remotely monitor your house for security breaches. Amazing.

As expected, Google have announced the Nexus One officially at the press event held a couple of hours ago. The Nexus One is a phone developed in close partnership with HTC and is described by Google as being in a new category called Superphones.

3M today unveiled one of the first multi-touch desktop displays that supports more than two input points. The M2256PW has a typical 22-inch, 1680x1050 display but can recognize as many as 10 points, or two full hands, without an increase in lag.

Here’s the skinny: The new Cobra XRS 9970G and XRS 9965 both feature a 1.5-inch full color touchscreen. Neat, eh? No more random buttons to press while you’re probably speeding. Too bad that some dude’s fingers are essentially 1.5-inch thick sausages.

We’ve seen companies try this before (with little success): the convertible tablet, aka a netbook with a swivel touchscreen that can be rotated for use as a tablet. Lenovo claims its convertible tablet, dubbed the S10-3t, is the first of its kind to use capacitive touchscreen technology.
