RCA Intros Rugged EZ4000 Pocket Camcorder

RCA this week launched a handful of new additions to its Small Wonder line of pocket camcorders. Coolest among them is the EZ4000, a new rugged “sport” camcorder. The device has a rubberized body and is waterproof.

We recently posted that the Google Nexus One lacks multi-touch in the US… well, we have since found out that this is not entirely true as multi-touch is supported in a number of applications such as the Dolphin browser as shown over at Android Mom.

Intel has announced a host of new processors for 2010, based on the Core i3, i5 and i7 lines. The company says it has switched over to 32nm manufacturing, which allows for more efficient chips in terms of both speed and power consumption.

Section: Video, HDTV LG recently announced a partnership with AMIMON that gave them access to some pretty sweet technology.  What it’s called is WHDI and what it does is allow 1080p content to be sent from a source to the LG TV over a 5GHz unlicensed band.

T-Mobile to Discontinue @Home Service

T-Mobile USA on Thursday announced that it will soon discontinue its @Home service, which allows users to pay $10 a month for unlimited landline service. The service provider said it would continue to support customers that currently use the service but would shortly cut off new sales.

Last night in CES-gaming-land was all about Project Natal. Sure it's an innovative new way to control videos games, but in terms of sheer oddness, it's got nothing on Cambridge Consultants' Suma. It's a little jelly-ball that lets users control games by waving it around and squeezing it.

I spotted these on the CES show floor today--shirts with iPhones built in. OK, they can't surf the Web or access the App Store, or send text messages. They can't even make voice calls, so at least that part isn't too far removed from Apple's original design.

This is not your mother’s picture frame. In fact, it’s not actually supposed to be a picture frame and instead some sort of widget platform. Its wedge shaped so you can put it down flat on the table or, if you wish, you can carry it around like a wee tablet. Is it amazing? No.

Haier, a maker of freezers, washing machines, televisions, water heaters, air conditioners, and microwave ovens, today at CES announced its ultra slim LED TV lineup. The company’s first generation of LED TVs are available in 46”, 40”, 32”, 24”, 22” and 19” screen sizes.

Palm have announced the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus, and as expected they’re headed to Verizon Wireless.  The Palm Pre Plus doubles memory to 16GB and drops the navigation button, while the Pixi Plus gets the WiFi that was missing from the Sprint Pixi.
