Scythe Mine 2 CPU cooler debuts

Scythe has unveiled another new CPU cooling solution today called the Mine 2. The thing is a big and blocky looking CPU cooler that has a fan wedged between two sides of a metal heat sink. The model number for the CPU cooler is SCMN-2000.

Toshiba has announced that it has started shipping new UIM cards to KDDI Corporation that support NFC (near field communications). NFC is going to be really big in the coming months with lots of companies big and small testing out things like mobile payment systems using NFC tech.

Verizon gave an Apple product a rare direct Super Bowl placement tonight by airing its “I can hear you now” ad in the middle of the game. The commercial follows its first airing late last week and will have cost Verizon about $3 million for the 30 seconds.

I've been reading the News Corp. iPad newspaper The Daily since it came out last week. While my first impressions led to a positive review, the more I use it the less I like it. First, it is VERY slow to load if it loads at all (an impression shared by others).
