Toshiba has begun shipping its Satellite E205 notebooks with Intel's Wireless Display technology. The wireless system, first introduced at CES, works with Intel's latest chipset which allows users to view the notebook display on any HDTV with Composite or HDMI inputs.

Hewlett-Packard has revealed to the Wall Street Journal its so-called “Wall of Touch”, a new design of its TouchSmart technology – one that doesn’t actually require users to physically touch the screen.  Its prototype form is apparently already in use by a smattering of companies.

There has been much noise over Sony Ericsson’s upcoming X10, purportedly launching 2nd quarter – let’s add 3D mapping to the X10’s list of features to clamor over.  The folks over at Ericsson Labs have revealed a video demonstration of their new 3D Landscape API running on the Xperia X10 handset.

Now here is another interesting idea.  Trexa is making an electric car chassis that only needs a cab.  Yep, drivetrain, batteries, electronics.  All you need to do is use your imagination to come up with a modular cabin. I wish they had some sort of prototype video or something.

The next version of Android has been given a name. The next version that follows on from Eclair will be Froyo which is short for Frozen Yoghurt. The version name was given on the Engadget Show a couple of days ago and although we now know the name, we do not know the version number.

Motorola's just-launched MOTOROI is the root for what will become the Droid "tablet" in the US, SK Telecom senior VP Bae Joon-dong said Tuesday. Although launched first in China and Korea, the touchscreen-only Android phone is now expected to reach the US in March.
