Amazon today took a preemptive move against Apple's rumored tablet by giving some publishers of Kindle e-books a larger cut of their sales. The deal lets authors jump their take to 70 percent of a book's price and charges 15 cents per megabyte for the costs of delivering over 3G.

Amazon.com has unveiled a program that will give authors and publishers a larger share of revenue from each Kindle e-book they sell beginning on June 30, 2010.The 70-percent royalty option offers 70 percent of list price, net of electronic delivery costs.

So here’s another little DIY project. This one involves making your own little laser light show. Now obviously it’s not going to make shapes in time with Dark Side of the Moon, but it still looks really cool. I might even have to do this one myself, if I knew how to solder.
