Stephen Colbert shows iPad at the Grammys

Apple tonight took advantage of the Grammy Awards to surprise the audience with an appearance by an iPad (viewable below). Taking action on Stephen Colbert's mock demand for an iPad on his show, Apple gave the host an iPad for his presentation of the "Song of the Year" award.

Apparently all is not well in e-book land. In an unusual move, publisher Macmillan took out an ad in the Publishers Marketplace magazine protesting the tactics being used by Amazon regarding pricing.

While I am excited to be watching it this evening, I really can’t say I like the idea of the Pro Bowl now being before the Super Bowl. Seems like an odd decision for those who supposedly understand the game to make. But…what do I know. All I do is watch.

More details have emerged from the post-iPad Apple town hall meeting hosted by Steve Jobs. In addition to setting up Android as a main rival, Jobs promised “aggressive updates” to the iPhone that would beat Android. He also teased that the next iPhone would be an “A+” update….
