The Sony Ericsson X1 is normally a Windows Mobile based smartphone, however, this particular X1 has been modified and now runs a version of Android. The video below gives a demonstration of how the X1 can handle the Google [GOOG] Android operating system.

Clayton Morris today colored in the details behind his claims of ongoing Verizon iPad talks with word of why the carrier was absent from the launch and its future plans. The Fox News reporter claims that AT&T simply "outbid" other carriers by agreeing to the $30 unlimited and $15 250MB data plans.

Patents patents patents! OK. Only two. Apple may be adding touch sensitive corners to the iPad’s bezel (not in its current incarnation, though) which may allow for hot corners. These would be identified by little flags that pop up on the screen. Next?

I’ll be damned. A solar charger with a 1500mAh capacity battery and 5-volt output from a relatively well known manufacturer priced at $30. That actually seems reasonable.

An unconfirmed rumor maintains Intel will soon release two new updated Pine Trail Intel Atom chips, the Atom N475 and N455. The former has a 1.83GHz clock speed while the latter retains the common 1.6GHz rating, and both get DDR3 RAM support, which is a first for the Atom range….

NEC has added a new 17-inch LCD monitor, the AS171 to its lineup on Tuesday. The 4:3 aspect ratio monitor is made with the environment in mind, and uses 21 percent less power and has half of the mercury content of the ASLCD73VX-BK model it replaces.

To say I know who Keith Urban is would be scandalous. I’ve since learned, in the six seconds of research done for this here post, that he’s something of a country music singer. He must be a good singer, too, since he recently won the People’s Choice Awards for Favorite Male Artist.
