Toshiba’s two new Windows Mobile 6.5 devices ended up a little overshadowed by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 launch, which is a shame since we’re hoping the company has learnt its lesson from the mediocre TG01.

Connect One has introduced a mobile hotspot at the Mobile World Congress show currently ongoing in Barcelona, the Wi-Reach Classic. The MiFi competitor can split the signal from a USB 3G modem to up to 10 users, and can support either WiMAX and LTE 4G networks after a firmware update.

Nikon might be testing its replacement for the D700 if a series of sightings are accurate. The camera on show, seen both in London and in Olympics host Vancouver, is a virtually perfect match for the full-frame DSLR's body but has the "Nikon" label taped over and the model number omitted.

It wasn’t too long ago that I whined that these days, old-school de-makes of games are better than the new-school re-makes they’re meant to promote. It’s not really a problem, since these old-style games are fun as hell, but it’s kind of embarrassing for the industry.

Lenovo has inadvertently slipped out some of its ThinkPad upgrade plans through a support manual. The X201 as its name suggests will be a subtle upgrade to the 12-inch ultraportable on the outside but will make a major jump in performance through Intel’s new chips.
