SanDisk Finally Ships G3 Solid-State Drives

Better late than never. SanDisk has begun shipping its G3 solid-state disk drives to retailers in both North America and Europe, the company said on Tuesday.The G3 ships in two capacity points: 60 and 120 Gbytes. The drives cost $229.99 and $399.99, respectively.

AT&T today landed a surprise win in a new test of 3G performance in the US. The carrier had both the fastest average download speeds, at 1.4Mbps, and the fastest uploads, at 773Kbps. Both were major improvements and were as much as 84 percent faster than what was seen a year earlier.
