Intel Larrabee only mostly dead

In early 2009, there was lots of talk about the Intel Larrabee architecture that combined the CPU and GPU onto one chip. The theory of the device sounded good and both NVIDIA and ATI were doing something similar with GPGPUs at the time.

AT&T this morning led into CTIA by launching its now annual update of messaging phones. At the top of the range, the Samsung Starburst (shown above) is one of the company's least expensive touchscreen-only phones and also includes GPS for navigation.

XML co-creator Tim Bray on Monday said he has joined Google as a Developer Advocate, primarily for Android. The former Sun worker made the pick both because Android embraces an open-source, web-heavy philosophy but also as a direct opposition to Apple's iPhone policies.

I don’t use a mouse. I love my MacBook’s oversized trackpad and I have a Wacom tablet on the desk for more precise work (like pixel-perfect gun positioning in Desktop Tower Defense).

We’ve been hearing a lot about VZW getting the Nexus One the last few weeks. The latest unverified report states that Nexus One shipments are currently en route to both Verizon and Vodafone and the phone should be available later this month or early April. That is all. Move along.
