More chatter around HTC’s new tablet, the HTC Flyer, has emerged, with a new Economic Daily News report suggesting that the company has worked with Pegatron to rush the first model out by the end of Q1 2011.

Apple has given the go ahead for the iPad 2 to go in to production. This is according to the WSJ who reported that the second generation tablet device would have a front facing camera allowing video calls to be made.We also hear more confirmations that the screen will not be a higher resolution.

Sprint has issued a maintenance firmware update for its Galaxy Tab variant. The small EA24 update fixes some Exchange email issues, QIK software update to 0.04.77 and new drivers for LCD supplier. The update will be released in phases and will reach all Sprint Tab users within several days.

The Wall Street Journal has cited (or made up) “people familiar with the matter” who say that the new iPad is in production (yep), has dual cameras (mm-hm), will have a new processor and more RAM (we hoped so) and a resolution “similar” to the first iPad (we hoped otherwise).
