Sanwa Throat Microphone

The throat microphones were used in tactical assault group or SWAT team. Sanwa has recently released the Sanwa Throat Microphone that will be useful if you work in a noisy environment to improve your phone conversation with others.

    Many items that are associated with the military or law enforcement suffer from Hummer syndrome, i.e. they look seductively rugged and macho but are largely impractical in consumer markets.

    This is an exception. One of the problems with ordinary microphone headsets is that they are fragile and impractical. Watching people use call-center style headgear that has people fiddling around for ages, when trying to answer a Skype call on a PC exemplifies this.

    This is a problem that Apple solved elegantly for the iPhone, by placing the mic in the headphone cable, but anyone that finds themselves lifting the iPhone mic to their mouth will realize the practicality of a throat microphone which creates a robust and minimalist solution.
