Verizon Wireless is reported to have denied considering buying spectrum from Clearwire. This comes after several reports maintained the carrier, along with competitors AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, Sprint and Time Warner Cable are vying to buy mobile airwaves in an auction from Clearwire.
