Microsoft can’t be ready for CDMA Windows Phone 7 until 2011

Microsoft's decision to drop Verizon at launch for Windows Phone 7 was a matter of concentrating resources, the company explained late Thursday. Senior product lead Greg Sullivan told CNET that it had to focus only on GSM until the first half of 2011 to make sure it launched smoothly.
