Intel lifts curtain off Light Peak interconnect, the future of data transfer

Light Peak optical interconnect is the new high-speed optical interface from Intel. It is expected to replace USB, DisplayPort and HDMI, all in one go and it also keeps the capability to transfer data at 10Gbits/sec in both directions.
