Seagate this morning promised a new level of security for work-oriented hard drives by shipping its first Self-Encrypted Drives (SED). The Cheetah 15K.7, Constellation, Savvio 10K.3 and Savvio 15K.2 all automatically protect data that isn't immediately being used.
